15 And when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonders which he had done, and the children crying out in the temple, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David! — were indignant

16 And they said unto him, Hearest thou what they say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yes! Have you never read: Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings Thou hast arranged praise?

17 And having left them, he went out of the city to Bethany, and there he spent the night.

18 And in the morning, returning to the city, he hungered;

19 And when he saw a certain fig tree by the wayside, he came to it, and finding nothing on it but leaves, he said to her, 'Let there be no fruit from thee again for ever.' And the fig tree immediately withered.

20 And when the disciples saw this, they were amazed, and said, 'How is it that the fig tree withered immediately?'

21 And Jesus answered and said unto them, "Verily I say unto you, if ye have faith, and do not doubt, ye shall not only do what was done to the fig tree, but if ye also say to this mountain, Be lifted up, and be cast into the sea, it shall be done;

22 And whatsoever ye ask in prayer in faith, ye shall receive.

23 And when he came into the temple, and taught, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him, and said, By what authority dost thou do this? and who gave you such authority?

24 Jesus answered and said to them, 'I will ask you one thing; if you tell Me about this, then I will tell you by what authority I do it;

25 Where did the baptism of John come from: from heaven, or from men? And they reasoned among themselves, If we say, 'From heaven,' he will say to us, 'Why did you not believe him?'

26 And if we say, From men, we fear the people, for all esteem John to be a prophet.

27 And they answered and said to Jesus, 'We do not know.' He also said to them, "And I will not tell you by what authority I do this."

28 What do you think? A certain man had two sons; And he came to the first, and said, "Son! Go tonight to work in my vineyard.
