58 Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man hath not where to lay His head.

59 And to another he said, 'Follow me.' He said: Lord! let me go first and bury my father.

60 But Jesus said to him, 'Let the dead bury their dead, and you go and preach the kingdom of God.'

61 And another said, 'I will follow thee, O Lord!' but first let me bid farewell to my household.

62 But Jesus said to him, "No one who has put his hand to the plough and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God."

Chapter 10

1 And after these things the Lord chose also the other seventy disciples, and sent them two by two before him into every city and place whither he himself would go,

2 And he said unto them, The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest that He will send laborers into His harvest.

3 Go! I send you as lambs among wolves.

4 Do not take any bag, bag, or shoes, and do not greet anyone on the way.

5 Into which house ye shall enter, first say, Peace be unto this house;

6 And if the Son of Peace be there, your peace shall rest upon him, and if not, it shall return to you.

7 And in that house ye shall remain, and eat and drink what they have: for he that laboureth is worthy of the reward of his labours; Do not move from house to house.

8 And if you come to any city, and receive you, eat what is set before you,

9 And heal the sick that are in it, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is at hand unto you.

10 But if you come to any city and are not received, then when you go out into the street, say:

11 And the dust that is cleaved to us from your city, we shake it off to you; yet know that the Kingdom of God has drawn near to you.

12 I say unto you, that it shall be more pleasant for Sodom in that day than for that city.

13 Woe to thee, Chorazin! woe to you, Bethsaida! for if the powers manifested in you had been manifested in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes;

14 but both Tyre and Sidon will be more pleased in judgment than you.

15 And thou, O Capernaum, who hast ascended unto heaven, shalt thou descend unto hell.
