16 And thou shalt gather up all its spoils in the midst of its square, and thou shalt burn up the city with fire, and all its spoils for a burnt offering to the LORD thy God, and it shall be forever in ruins, and it shall never be built up again.

17 Let no cursed thing stick to thy hand, that the Lord may subdue the fury of his wrath, and give thee mercy, and have mercy on thee, and multiply thee, as he swore to thy fathers,

18 if thou hearest the voice of the Lord thy God, keeping all his commandments which I now command thee, doing good things in the sight of the LORD thy God.

Chapter 14

1 Ye are the sons of the Lord your God; you shall not make cuts in your body, nor cut the hair over your eyes after the dead;

2 For you are a holy people with the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be his own people out of all the nations that are on the earth.

3 Thou shalt not eat any abomination.

4 These are the cattle that you may eat: oxen, sheep, goats,

5 The deer, and the chamois, and the buffalo, and the fallow deer, and the auroch, and the oryx, and the camelopard.

6 And every beast that has cloven hoofs, and a deep cut in both hoofs, and that chews the cud, you shall eat;

7 Only these ye shall not eat of those that chew the cud, and have cloven hoofs with a deep cut: the camel, the hare, and the jerboa: for though they chew the cud, yet their hoofs are not cloven: they are unclean unto you.

8 And the swine, because her hoofs are cloven, but she chews not the cud: she is unclean unto you; you shall not eat their flesh, and you shall not touch their carcasses.

9 Of all the animals that are in the water, you shall eat all that have feathers and scales;

10 And all those who have not feathers and scales, ye shall not eat: it is unclean unto you.
