Titus 3

1 Remind them to be subject to principalities, to powers: to obey, to be ready for every good work,

2 To speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, to be lenient, showing all meekness to all men.

3 For we also were once foolish, disobedient, erring, slaves of divers lusts and pleasures; they lived in malice and envy, vile, hating one another.

4 And when the goodness and love of mankind of our Saviour God was manifested,

5 it was not by works of righteousness which we would have done, but by his mercy that he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit,

6 Whom he has poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour,

7 that we, justified by his grace, may become heirs in the hope of eternal life.

8 The word is true, and I desire that you should stand fast to it, that those who believe in God may strive to prosper in good works. This is good and useful for people.

9 But thou shalt avoid foolish disputes, and genealogies, and quarrels, and disputes concerning the Law; for they are useless and vain;

10 From a man of a narrow opinion, after one admonition and another, turn away from him,

11 knowing that such a man has gone astray, and is sinning, bearing condemnation within himself.

12 When I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, take care to come to me at Nicopolis; for there I decided to overwinter.

13 Train Zenas the lawyer and Apollos for the journey with diligence, that they may lack nothing.

14 Let our also learn to be diligent in good works, when necessity requires it, so that they may not be fruitless.

15 All who are with me salute you. Salute all who love us in faith. Grace be with you all.

To Philemon

1

1 Paul the prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy the brother, to Philemon our beloved and fellow-worker,

2 And to Apphia's sister, and to Archippus our companion, and to the church that gathereth together in thy house,

3 – Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
