New Testament under the editorship of Bishop. Cassiana Bezobrazova

14 Therefore, having a great High Priest who has passed through heaven, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to the confession.

15 For we have no high priest, who cannot have compassion on our infirmities, but is tempted in all things, even as we are, except sin.

16 Let us, therefore, approach boldly to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and obtain grace for our timely help.

Hebrews 5

1 For every high priest chosen from among men is appointed for the service of men before God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins,

2 Who is able to condescend to those who do not know and go astray, because he himself is burdened with weakness,

3 Wherefore he is to offer sacrifices for sins both for the people and for himself.

4 And a man does not appropriate this honor for himself, but is called by God as Aaron was.

5 In the same way, Christ did not glorify Himself when He became High Priest, but He who said to Him, 'You are my Son, I have begotten you this day;

6 As elsewhere he says, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

7 In the days of his flesh, with a mighty cry and with tears, he offered supplications and supplications to him who was able to save him from death, and was heard because of his reverence,

8 Though the Son also learned obedience by afflictions,

9 And having been perfected, he became to all those who obey him the author of eternal salvation,

10 From God, proclaimed High Priest after the order of Melchizedek.

11 Of these things we ought to speak much, but it is difficult to interpret, because you have become slow to hear.

12 For though you ought to be teachers, judging by the time, you again need to be taught the first principles of the word of God, and you need milk and not solid food.

13 For everyone who is nourished with milk is untried in the word of righteousness, because he is a babe.

14 But for the perfect there is solid food: their senses are accustomed by habit to discern both good and evil.

Hebrews 6

1 Wherefore, having forsaken the rudiments of the doctrine of Christ, let us strive for perfection, not laying anew foundations for repentance from dead works, and for faith in God,

2 the doctrine of baptisms and the laying on of hands, of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
