New Testament under the editorship of Bishop. Cassiana Bezobrazova

Where is the King of the Jews who is born? For we have seen His star rising, and have come to worship Him.

And when King Herod heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

And having gathered together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he asked them, 'Where will the Christ be born?'

And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet,

"And you, Bethlehem, the land of Judah, are no less than the rulers of Judah; for from thee shall come forth a Leader who shall shepherd my people Israel."

Then Herod, having secretly summoned the Magi, ascertained from them exactly the time during which the star appeared.

And having sent them to Bethlehem, he said, 'Go and know all things about the child, and as soon as you have found him, tell me, that I also may come and worship him.'

And they, having listened to the king, departed. And behold, the star, the rising of which they saw, went before them, until it came and stood over the place where the Child was.

And when they saw the star, they rejoiced with great joy.

And when they had entered into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshipped him; and having opened their treasures, they brought Him gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

And having received a revelation in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed by another way to their own country.

And when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, 'Arise, take the child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be there until I tell you; for Herod will soon seek the Child to destroy Him.

And he arose, and took the child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt;

And he was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which the Lord had spoken through the prophet, 'Out of Egypt I have called my Son.'
