How to Read the Bible

28 And you will dwell in the land which I gave to your fathers, and you will be my people, and I will be your God.

29 And I will deliver you from all your uncleanness, and I will call for bread, and I will multiply it, and I will not let you suffer hunger.

30 And I will multiply the fruit of the trees, and the produce of the fields, that ye may not suffer the reproach of the nations because of famine.

31 Then remember your evil ways and your evil deeds, and you will feel disgust against yourselves because of your iniquities and because of your abominations.

32 It is not for your sake that I will do this, says the Lord God, let it be known to you. Blush and be ashamed of your ways, O house of Israel.

33 Thus saith the Lord God, In the day that I will cleanse you from all your iniquities, and populate the cities, and the ruins shall be built up,

34 And the desolate land shall be cultivated, being a desolation in the sight of every passer-by,

35 Then they will say, "This desolate land has become like the garden of Eden; and these ruined and desolate and ruined cities are fortified and inhabited."

36 And the nations that remain around you will know that I, the Lord, am building up again what is destroyed, planting what is desolate. I, the Lord, have spoken, and I have done.

37 Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, in this also I will show my mercy to the house of Israel, I will multiply them as a flock.

38 As there are many sacrificial sheep in Jerusalem during her feasts, so will the desolate cities be full of people, and they will know that I am the Lord.

PSALM 50

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy great mercy, and according to the multitude of Thy mercies, blot out my iniquities.
