Psalm 3

Lord, why have those who oppress me multiplied? Many rise up against me, many say to my soul, There is no salvation for him in his God. But Thou, O Lord, art my intercessor, my glory, and Thou liftest up my head. With my voice I cried to the Lord, and He heard me from His holy mountain. I fell asleep and slept; I have awakened, for the Lord will protect me. I will not be afraid of the multitudes of people who attack me all around. Arise, O Lord, save me, O my God, for Thou hast struck down all those who are enemies against me in vain, Thou hast broken the teeth of sinners. Salvation is from the Lord, and Thy blessing is unto Thy people. I fell asleep and slept; I have awakened, for the Lord will protect me.

Psalm 37

Lord, do not rebuke me of Thy wrath, nor punish me with Thy wrath. For Thy arrows have pierced me, and Thou hast fixed Thy hand upon me. There is no healing for my flesh from Thy wrath, there is no peace for my bones from my sins: for my iniquities have exceeded my head, as a heavy burden has weighed upon me. My wounds stink and fester because of my folly: I suffered and was bent to the end, all day long, lamenting, I walked. For my loins are filled with mockery, and there is no healing for my flesh. I was crushed and humiliated beyond measure, I cried out with the groaning of my heart. Lord, all my desire is before Thee, and my groaning is not hidden from Thee. My heart is troubled, my strength has left me, and the light of my eyes is not with me. My friends and my neighbors drew near, and stood opposite me, and my neighbors stood afar off, and those who sought my soul were crowded together, and those who sought evil against me spoke vain things, and devised plots all day long. But I have not heard as a deaf man, and as a dumb man who does not open his mouth; and he became like a man who does not hear, and has no reproof in his mouth. For I have trusted in Thee, O Lord: Thou shalt hear, O Lord my God. For I said, Let not my enemies rejoice over me, for when my feet wavered, they boasted over me. For I am ready for blows, and my suffering is always before me. For I will declare my iniquity, and will take care of my sin. But my enemies live, and they are stronger than I, and those who hate me unrighteously have multiplied. Those who repay me evil for good have slandered me, for I have sought good. Forsake me not, O Lord my God, do not depart from me, turn to my aid, O Lord of my salvation! Forsake me not, O Lord my God, do not depart from me, turn to my aid, O Lord of my salvation!

Psalm 62

O God, my God, I have been longing for Thee since the dawn: my soul thirsts for Thee. How many times has my flesh sought Thee in a desolate land, and impassable, and without water? So that I would appear to Thee in the sanctuary, that I might see Thy power and Thy glory! For Thy mercy is better than life; my mouth shall praise thee. So will I bless Thee in my life, in Thy name will I lift up my hands. As with fat and oil, let my soul be filled, and with lips of joy my lips shall praise Thee. I have remembered Thee in my bed, and in the morning I have meditated on Thee, for Thou hast become my helper, and under the shelter of Thy wings I shall rejoice. My soul clung to Thee, Thy right hand supported me. But those who have sought my soul in vain will descend into the pit of the earth, they will be given over to the power of the sword, they will become a prey to foxes. But the king will rejoice in God, and everyone who swears by Him will be praised, for the lips of those who speak falsehood are stopped. In the morning I have meditated on Thee, for Thou hast become my helper, and under the shelter of Thy wings I shall rejoice. My soul clung to Thee, Thy right hand supported me.

Psalm 87

O Lord, God of my salvation, by day I have cried, and by night before Thee, that my prayer may rise before Thy face, incline Thy ear to my supplication. For my soul is filled with evil, and my life draws nigh to hell; I was numbered with those who descended into the pit, I became as a helpless man, free among the dead; like the slain, sleeping in the grave, whom Thou shalt remember no more, and they have been rejected by Thy hand. Thou hast laid me in the deepest pit, in darkness and in the shadow of death: Thy wrath hath rested upon me, and Thou hast brought all Thy waves upon me. Thou hast removed my acquaintances from me: they have considered me an abomination to themselves; I was betrayed and could not get out. My eyes are faint with poverty: I have cried to Thee, O Lord, all day long, I have stretched out my hands to Thee. Will You work miracles for the dead? Or will the physicians raise them up, and they will glorify Thee? Shall anyone proclaim in the grave Thy mercy, and Thy truth in a place of destruction? Shall they know Thy wonders in darkness, and Thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness? And I have cried unto Thee, O Lord, and early in the morning my prayer shall reach Thee. Wherefore, O Lord, dost thou put away my soul, hast thou turned away thy face from me? I am poor, and in labor from my youth; And, having been lifted up, he was humiliated and faint. Thy wrath is gone away from me, Thy terrors have troubled me, they surround me like water all day long, they have enveloped me all together. Thou hast removed from me a friend and neighbor and my acquaintances because of suffering. Psalm 102

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all my inward part is His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His rewards: He forgives all thy iniquities, healeth all thy infirmities, delivereth thy life from destruction, crowneth thee with mercy and mercies, fulfilleth thy desire with good things, and thy youth shall be renewed like that of an eagle. The Lord does mercy and judgment to all those who are offended. He made His ways known to Moses, and His desires to the children of Israel. The Lord is generous and merciful, long-suffering and abundant in mercy, He will not be completely angry and will not be indignant forever. He did not do us according to our iniquities, nor did He repay us according to our sins, for according to the height of heaven from the earth, the Lord established His mercy to those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, He has removed our iniquities from us. As the father of sons has mercy, the Lord has mercy on those who fear Him, for He knows our composition, He remembers that we are dust. Man shall be like the grass of his days, like the flower of the field, so shall he fade, for the breath has ceased in him, and he shall be no more, and he shall know no more his place. But the mercy of the Lord is upon them that fear him from everlasting to everlasting, and his righteousness is upon the sons of sons who keep his covenant, and remember his commandments, to do them. The Lord has prepared His throne in heaven, and His Kingdom possesses all things. Bless the Lord, all His angels, mighty in might, who do His word, as soon as they hear the voice of His words. Bless the Lord, all His hosts, His servants, who do His will. Bless the Lord, all His creatures, in every place of His dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul! In every place of His dominion. Psalm 142

O Lord, hear my prayer, hear my prayer in Thy truth, hear me in Thy righteousness, and enter not into judgment with Thy servant, for no one living shall be justified before Thee. For the enemy has persecuted my soul, he has humbled my life to the ground, he has put me in darkness, as those who have died from eternity. And my spirit is discouraged within me, my heart is troubled within me. I have remembered the days of old, I have meditated on all Thy works, I have meditated on the works of Thy hands. I have stretched out my hands to Thee; my soul before Thee is like a dry land. Hear me quickly, O Lord, my spirit is faint: turn not Thy face away from me, and let me not be like them that descend into the pit. Let me hear Thy mercy early in the morning, for I trust in Thee; reveal to me, O Lord, the way in which I shall go, for to Thee I have lifted up my soul. Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord, for I have fled to Thee. Teach me to do Thy will, for Thou art my God; Thy good spirit shall lead me into the land of righteousness. For Thy name's sake, O Lord, Thou shalt revive me, in Thy righteousness Thou shalt bring my soul out of sorrow, and in Thy mercy Thou shalt destroy my enemies, and destroy all those who oppress my soul, for I am Thy servant.
