Так и сделалось. И, встав назавтра с рассветом, Гедеон выжал шерсть, и вытекла роса из шерсти – полная лохань воды. И сказал Гедеон Богу: «Да не раздражится гнев Твой на меня, и я скажу еще один раз, и сделаю еще один раз испытание над шерстью: пусть же будет сухо только на шерсти, а на всей земле роса». И сделал Бог так в ту ночь: и было сухо только на шерсти, а на всей земле была роса.

И проходила вода вокруг жертвенника, и ров наполнился водою.

И воззвал Илия на небо и сказал: «Господи, Боже Авраама, Исаака и Иакова! Услышь меня сегодня в огне! И да познает весь этот народ, что Ты – един, Господь, Бог Израилев, и что я – раб Твой, и ради Тебя сделал всё это, и Ты обратил сердце народа сего вослед Тебя!» И ниспал огонь от Господа с неба и пожрал всесожжения, и дрова, и воду, которая во рве, и камни, и прах вылизал огонь. И пал весь народ на лицо своё и сказал: «Воистину Господь Бог – Он есть Бог!»

And Elisha said, "Take a new pitcher for me, and put salt in it." And he took it, and went out to the source of the waters, and threw salt into it, and said, "Thus saith the Lord, I have made these waters well; (and) from now on there will be no more dying or suffering from barrenness from them. And the waters have become healthy to this day according to the word which Elisha spoke.
