Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

And he said unto the woman, I will multiply thy affliction in thy pregnancy; in sickness you will bear children; and thy desire is for thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

And he said to Adam, 'Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, saying, 'Do not eat of it, cursed is the ground for your sake.' with sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

And Adam called his wife's name Eve, for she became the mother of all the living.

And the Lord God made for Adam and his wife garments of skins, and clothed them.

And the Lord God said, Behold, Adam became as one of us, knowing good and evil; and now lest he stretch out his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever.

And the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden, to till the ground out of which he was taken.

And he drove out Adam, and set in the east by the garden of Eden a cherubim, and a flaming sword turning, to guard the way to the tree of life.
