Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

8 Come to your senses, senseless people! When will you be wise, ignorant?

9 Shall he who planted an ear hear? and he who formed the eye will not see?

10 Will he who admonish the nations not rebuke, he who teaches man understanding?

11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of men, that they are vain.

12 Blessed is the man whom thou, O Lord, admonisheth, and instructest by thy law,

13 To give him rest in the days of trouble, while a pit is dug for the wicked.

14 For the Lord will not reject his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15 For judgment will return to righteousness, and all the upright in heart will follow it.

16 Who will rise up for me against evildoers? Who will stand for me against those who do iniquity?

17 If the Lord had not been my helper, my soul would soon have dwelt in the land of silence.

18 When I said, 'My foot is shaking,' Your mercy, O Lord, sustained me.

19 As my afflictions abound in my heart, Thy consolations delight my soul.

20 Shall there be near thee the seat of the destroyers, who devise violence against the law?

21 In a crowd they rush upon the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

22 But the LORD is my protection, and my God is the stronghold of my refuge,

23 And he will bring their iniquity against them, and by their wickedness he will destroy them, the Lord our God will destroy them.

Psalm 94

[Song of Praise of David.]

1 Come, let us sing to the Lord, let us cry out to [God], the stronghold of our salvation;

2 Let us stand before him with praise, and in song we shall cry unto him,

3 for the Lord is a great God, and a great King over all gods.
