Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Thou shalt not make unto thee an idol, nor any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the waters under the earth.

Thou shalt not worship them, nor serve them: for I am the Lord thy God, a jealous God, punishing the children for the trespass of the fathers, even to the third and fourth generation, who hate me,

And he that doeth mercy unto a thousand generations unto them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, for the Lord will not leave unpunished him who takes his name in vain.

Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Thou shalt not steal.

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house; Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his field, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is thy neighbor's.

And they said to Moses, 'Speak to us, and we will listen, but let not God speak to us, lest we die.'

And Moses said to the people, 'Do not be afraid; God has come [to you] to try you, and that His fear may be before you, that you may not sin.

And the people stood afar off, and Moses entered into the darkness where God is.

And the Lord said to Moses, 'Thus speak to the children of Israel, 'You have seen me speaking to you from heaven;

Ye shall not make before me gods of silver, or gods of gold, ye shall not make unto yourselves,
