5 And the Spirit of the Lord came upon me, and said unto me, Speak, thus saith the Lord: What ye say, O house of Israel, and whatsoever comes into your mind, this I know.

6 Many of your slain you have laid in this city, and the streets thereof have been filled with carcasses.

7 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, 'Your slain, whom you have put in the midst of him, are meat, but he is a cauldron; but I will bring you out of it.

8 You are afraid of the sword, and I will bring the sword against you, saith the Lord God.

9 And I will bring you out of it, and deliver you into the hand of strangers, and I will execute judgment on you.

10 By the sword ye shall fall; in the borders of Israel they will judge you, and you will know that I am the Lord.

11 It shall not be a cauldron unto you, neither shall ye be meat in it; in the borders of Israel I will judge you.

12 And ye shall know that I am the Lord; For you have not walked in my commandments, neither have you kept my statutes, but have walked in accordance with the statutes of the nations around you.

13 And it came to pass, while I was prophesying, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. And I fell on my face, and cried out with a loud voice, and said, O Lord God! Do you want to destroy the remnant of Israel to the end?

14 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

15 Son of man! To your brethren, to your brethren, to your kinsmen, and to all the house of Israel, to all of them those who dwell in Jerusalem say, "Live far from the Lord; this land has been given to us in possession."

16 And say, 'Thus saith the Lord God, Though I have sent them away to the nations, and though I have scattered them into the lands, yet I will be a kind of sanctuary unto them in the lands whither they went.'

17 Then say, 'Thus says the Lord God: I will gather you from the nations, and I will bring you back from the lands to which you are scattered; and I will give you the land of Israel.

18 And they shall come thither, and shall cast out of it all her abominations, and all her abominations.
