Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

14 Behold, with the LORD thy God are the heavens, and the heavens of heavens, the earth, and all that is in it;

15 but only thy fathers hath the Lord received, and loved them, and hath chosen you, their seed after them, out of all the nations, as thou seest now.

16 Therefore circumcise the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked;

17 For the LORD your God is the God of gods, and the Lord of lords, a great God mighty and terrible, who does not look at persons, nor take gifts,

18 Who gives judgment to the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, and gives him bread and raiment.

19 Ye also love the stranger, for ye yourselves were strangers in the land of Egypt.

20 Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve Him alone, and cleave unto Him, and swear by His name:

21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, who hath done unto thee those great and dreadful works which thy eyes have seen;

22 With seventy [five] souls thy fathers came into Egypt, and now the Lord thy God hath made thee as numerous as the stars of heaven.

Chapter 11

1 Thou shalt therefore love the Lord thy God, and observe what he is commanded to keep, and his statutes, and his laws, and his commandments always.

2 And remember now, for I do not speak to your sons, who do not know, nor have seen the chastisement of the Lord your God, his majesty [and] his mighty hand and his high arm,

3 His signs, and his works, which he did in the midst of Egypt with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and with all his land,

4 and what did he do to the army of Egypt, to his horses and his chariots, which he drowned in the waters of the Red Sea while they were pursuing you, and the Lord [God] has destroyed them even to this day;
