Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

25 then thou shalt exchange it for silver, and take the silver in thy hand, and come to the place which the LORD thy God shall choose.

26 And thou shalt buy with this money all that thy soul desireth, oxen, sheep, wine, strong drink, and whatever thy soul shall require of thee. and you shall eat there before the LORD your God, and you and your family shall be glad.

27 And thou shalt not leave the Levite that is within thy gates, for he hath no portion or inheritance with thee.

28 And at the end of three years thou shalt set aside all the tithes of thy produce in that year, and lay them in thy gates;

29 And let the Levite come, for he has no part or inheritance with thee, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are within thy gates, and let them eat and be satisfied, that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thy hands that thou shalt do.

Chapter 15

1 In the seventh year you shall forgive.

2 And forgiveness consists in this, that every lender who has lent to his neighbor should forgive the debt, and should not retrieve from his neighbor or from his brother: for forgiveness is proclaimed for the sake of the Lord [your God].

3 Thou shalt demand from the foreigner, but what is thine with thy brother, forgive.

4 Unless you have a beggar: for the LORD will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you for an inheritance, that you may take it for an inheritance,

5 if only thou wilt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, and endeavour to keep all these commandments which I command thee this day;

6 For the LORD your God will bless you, as he has spoken to you, and you will lend to many nations, but you yourself will not borrow. and you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.

7 And if any of thy brethren be poor among thee, in one of thy gates in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thy heart, neither shalt thou forge thy hand before thy poor brother;

8 But thou shalt open thy hand unto him, and lend unto him, according to his need, what he has need of.
