A complete Orthodox prayer book. For every need

Before the Icon "The Sight of the Eyes" (On the Friday of Bright Week)

O Most Holy Lady Lady Mother of God! Accept our unworthy prayer, and preserve all of us, who with faith and love worship Thy most pure image, from the slander of evil men and from sudden death, and grant us repentance before the end. Be merciful to our prayers, and grant joy instead of sorrow. For behold, beholding Thy image, as Thou who dwellest with us, we pray Thee fervently: deliver us, O Mother of all who sorrow and are burdened, from every misfortune and misfortune, sorrow, sickness and sorrow, and from all evil. And vouchsafe us, Thy unworthy servants, at the right hand of Thy Son, Christ our God, at His second and glorious coming, and heirs of the Kingdom of Heaven and eternal life with all the Saints unto the endless ages of ages.

Fervent intercessor, Mother of the Most High Lord! Thou art the help and intercession of all Christians, especially in trouble. Look now down from the heights of Thy holiness and upon us, who with faith worship Thy most pure image, and manifest, we beseech Thee, Thy speedy help to those who sail on the sea, and to those who suffer heavy sorrow from stormy winds. Move all Orthodox Christians to salvation in the waters of the drowning, and reward those who strive for this with Thy rich mercies and mercies. For behold, beholding Thy image, we offer our humble supplications to Thee, as mercifully being with us. For there is no other help, no other intercession, no consolation, but Thee, O Mother of all who sorrow and are attacked. Thou art our Hope and Intercessor according to God, and trusting in Thee, we commit ourselves and each other, and all our life to Thee unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Troparion, tone 3:

Without seed of the Divine Spirit, but by the will of the Father Thou didst conceive the Son of God, from the Father without a mother before the world, but for our sake Thou wast fatherless from Thee, Thou didst give birth to the flesh and nourished the Infant with a child, wherefore do not cease to pray that our souls may be delivered from troubles.

Kontakion, tone 5:

Cleanse our souls of feelings, let us behold on the icon the most glorious mystery, the Creator of the universe and the Lord of the highest powers, held in Thy arms and nourished by Thy breast, as a Child, and, bowing down to Thee with fear and joy and our Saviour born of Thee, let us cry out: Rejoice, O Lady, Nourisher of our life.
