16 And Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the Lord, saying,

17 Behold, the days shall come, and all that is in thy house, and which thy fathers have gathered up to this day, shall be taken up to Babylon. nothing will remain, saith the Lord.

18 Of thy sons that come from thee, whom thou shalt bear, they shall be taken, and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

19 And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, 'Good is the word of the Lord which thou hast spoken.' And he continued, "May there be peace and prosperity in my days!"

20 The rest of Hezekiah, and all his deeds, and that he made a pond and a water pipe, and brought water into the city, are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah.

21 And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.

Chapter 21

1 Twelve years was Manasseh when he reigned, and fifty years he reigned in Jerusalem; his mother's name was Hephzibah.

2 And he did evil things in the sight of the Lord, imitating the abominations of the nations, whom the Lord had driven out from before the children of Israel.

3 And again he built the high places which his father Hezekiah had destroyed, and set up altars to Baal, and made an oak grove, as Ahab king of Israel had done; and he worshipped all the host of heaven, and served him.

4 And he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord said, In Jerusalem I will put my name.

5 And he built altars to all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord,
