Book of Hours (Russian translation)
And now: Suddenly the Judge will come, / and the works of each one will be revealed. / But with fear let us cry out at midnight: / "Holy, Holy, Holy Thou art, O God, / through the prayers of the Mother of God, have mercy on us!"
Tone 4
The song of Thy immaterial servants / we mortals dare to offer, proclaiming: / "Holy, Holy, Holy Thou art God:"
Glory: Now, like hosts of angels in heaven, / and we, people standing with fear on earth, / offer a song of victory to Thee, the Good One: / "Holy, Holy, Holy Thou art, O God, / through the prayers of all Thy saints, have mercy on us!"
And now: Thy Father, / and Thee, O Christ God, / and Thy All-Holy Spirit, / daring to glorify, as the Cherubim, we exclaim: / "Holy, Holy, Holy Thou art, O God, / through the prayers of the Mother of God, have mercy on us!
Tone 5
The time of singing, and the hour of prayer; / let us fervently cry out to Thee, the Only God: / "Holy, Holy, Holy Thou art God:"
Glory: To depict Thy immaterial hosts, / O Trinity without beginning, / With unworthy lips we call upon Thee: / "Holy, Holy, Holy Thou art, O God, / through the prayers of all Thy saints, have mercy on us!"
And now: Thou who hast been contained in the womb of the virgin, / and hast not left the bosom of the Father, / with the Angels and us, O Christ God, receive us, who call upon Thee: / "Holy, Holy, Holy Thou art, O God, / through the prayers of the Mother of God, have mercy on us!"
Tone 6
Standing before the Cherubim in fear, / amazed with the trembling of the Seraphim, / they bring the thrice-holy hymn with an unceasing voice; / With them we sinners also cry out: / "Holy, Holy, Holy art Thou, O God:"
Glory: With bodiless lips, unceasing praises, / six-winged ones sing to Thee the thrice-holy hymn, O our God; / and we, the earthly, with unworthy lips / praise Thee: / "Holy, Holy, Holy Thou art, O God, / through the prayers of all Thy saints, have mercy on us!"
And now: let us glorify the Trinitarian Unity of the Godhead / in unmerged unity, / and proclaim the angelic hymn: / "Holy, Holy, Holy Thou art God, / through the prayers of the Mother of God, have mercy on us!"
Tone 7
