Book of Hours (Russian translation)
Choir: With the honor of the highest Cherubim, / and incomparably more glorious than the Seraphim, / who gave birth to God the Word in virginity, / the true Mother of God – we magnify Thee.
Priest: Glory to Thee, O Christ God, our hope, glory to Thee.
Choir: Glory, and now: Lord, have mercy. (3) Bless.
The priest pronounces the dismissal: Christ, our true God, Risen from the dead, through the prayers of His Most-Pure Mother, the holy glorious and all-praised Apostles (the saints of the temple and the day are their names), the holy and righteous Fathers of God Joachim and Anna, and all the saints, will have mercy on us and save us, as a good and Lover of mankind.
Choir: Our great lord and father (name), His Holiness the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, and our lord His Grace (name), the Metropolitan (or: archbishop, or: bishop, – the name of the cathedra), our God-preserved country of Russia, the abbot, brethren and parishioners of this holy church (or: the abbot and the brethren of this holy monastery) and all Orthodox Christians, O Lord, preserve for many years.
And we begin the first hour.
If the day is not festive, the psalms of praise are read; Let's start like this:
Praise the Lord from heaven. A song befits you, God. Praise the Lord from heaven, praise Him in the highest. A song befits you, God. Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his hosts. A song befits you, God.
Praise Him, O sun and moon, and so on to the end (see above, p. 31). If there are no "praise" stichera, instead of Glory, and now: it is read:
Glory becometh Thee, O Lord our God, and to Thee do we send up glory, to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and always, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Glory to Thee, Who hast shown us the light.
Daily Doxology
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will among men. We praise Thee, we bless Thee, we worship Thee, we praise Thee, we thank Thee for the sake of Thy great glory. O Lord, King of Heaven, God the Father Almighty, Lord, the Only-begotten Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit! O Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, Who lifts up the sin of the world, have mercy on us. Thou who lifts up the sins of the world, accept our prayer, O Thou who sits at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. For Thou art the only Holy One, Thou alone is the Lord, Jesus Christ, to the glory of God the Father. Amen. I will bless Thee every day, and praise Thy name for ever, and for ever and ever. Lord, Thou hast become a refuge for us from generation to generation. I said, Lord, have mercy on me, heal my soul, for I have sinned against Thee. Lord, to Thee I have fled, teach me to do Thy will, for Thou art my God. For with Thee is the fountain of life, in Thy light we shall see the light. Extend Thy mercy to those who know Thee. Grant us, O Lord, to be preserved without sin on this day. Blessed art thou, O Lord, the God of our fathers, and praiseworthy and glorified is thy name for ever. Amen. May Thy mercy be upon us, O Lord, as we trust in Thee. Blessed art thou, O Lord, teach me thy commandments. Blessed art Thou, O Lord, enlighten me by Thy commandments. Blessed art Thou, O Holy One, enlighten me with Thy commandments. O Lord, Thy mercy endureth for ever, and despise not the creatures of Thy hands. To Thee is due praise, to Thee is due singing, to Thee is due glory, to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and always, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
