[246] Let my prayer be as incense before Thy face, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

[247] But the earth was corrupted before the face of God, and the earth was filled with wickedness.

[248] And I will continue his seed for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

[249] Thou hast established all the boundaries of the earth, Thou hast established summer and winter.

[250] thus saith the Lord: If ye can destroy my covenant concerning the day, and my covenant concerning the night, lest the day and the night come in their season...  Thus says the Lord: If I have not established My covenant concerning day and night, and the statutes of heaven and earth...

[251] And I will make a covenant of peace with them, and I will remove the fierce beasts from the earth, so that they may dwell safely in the steppe and sleep in the forests... And I will make a glorious planting among them, and they will no longer perish of hunger in the land, nor suffer shame from the nations.

[252] And I will make a covenant of peace with them, an everlasting covenant shall be with them. And I will build them, and multiply them, and set my sanctuary among them for ever.

[253] but as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the coming of the Son of Man: for as in the days before the flood they ate and drank, married and were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and did not think until the flood came and destroyed them all, so shall the coming of the Son of man be;

[254] But first He must suffer much and be rejected by this generation. And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of Man: they ate, drank, married, and were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

[255] once disobedient to God's long-suffering that awaited them, in the days of Noah, during the building of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved from the water. In the same way, we are now saved by baptism similar to this image, not by washing away the impurity of the flesh, but by the promise of a good conscience to God, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ

[256] because He has subjected all things under His feet. But when it is said that all things are subject to Him, it is clear that except Him who subjected all things to Him.

[257] And He subdued all things under His feet, and set Him above all things, the head of the Church.

[258] subdued everything under his feet. And when he had subdued all things to him, he left nothing unsubject to him. Now we do not yet see that everything has been subjugated to him.
